Civil Weddings in Positano
The lovely town of Positano is one of the few outdoor civil wedding locations in Italy. The ceremony is performed on a balcony outside enjoying the amazing panoramic views of the bay. It is among our most requested venues. If you dream of the Mediterranean, open-air civil ceremony overlooking the sea, a wedding in Positano will fulfill your dreams. Best of all, Positano now also celebrates civil weddings by moonlight! Nothing could be more romantic!
Location and Setting
The wedding hall is housed inside the main Town Hall, a traditional white building in keeping with Positano’s Mediterranean architecture. If weather permits, the marriage ceremony is conducted outside on a balcony. Should it rain, the ceremony is moved indoors in room that holds a maximum of 50 guests, while the balcony holds more.

A Positano civil wedding can be celebrated Mondays through Saturdays and is conducted in Italian with an interpreter. You are free to add your own vows, music and readings. A traditional duo of mandolin and guitar are highly recommended or you could have a traditional local folklorick group of musicians and dancers accompany you from the ceremony location to the reception!
Best time of year
A wedding in Positano is wonderful year round, but the sun shines brightest and warmest April through October.
