The tiny isle of Capri is as close to the perfect romantic paradise as any location we know of. Once the playground of Roman emperors such as Tiberius, it is now Italy’s most glamorous island resort. A 40 minute hydrofoil ride from the Amalfi Coast will allow you to experience a charm like no other. Capri is a mixture of whitewashed houses, Moorish architecture, narrow medieval pathways, and panoramic views from rugged cliffs to the surrounding sea. The views of the bays of Naples and Salerno from Monte Solare, the islands highest point, are astonishing. Don’t miss a visit to the terraces of the Gardens of Augustus, a public garden with lovely views.

The air of Capri is heavily perfumed with flowers; everything is blooming and brightly colored. You will want to explore the tiny squares, Capri Town, which is 450 meters above the harbor, and the even higher Anacapri located at the very highest point. It is reached via a steep winding road. Anacapri is our favorite place on the Island; private and removed from the hustle and bustle and a delight to experience on honeymoon or for your wedding in Capri.
