Civil Weddings in Udine - Favorite!

Udine is an elegant and refined city and just the right size to remain intimate and delightful for exploring on foot. The city makes available a stunning variety of four wedding halls, each seemingly grander than the other. It is without a doubt one of our favorite Italian wedding locations.
The Palazzo D'Aronco
If you dream of a palace wedding in Italy, the Palazzo D’Aronco” of Udine is undoubtedly one of the most sumptuous civil wedding venues in Italy and the perfect place for couples desiring refinement and luxury. The Palace is an exceptional Renaissance structure with striking architecture, complex marble carvings and statues. It houses two locations for civil ceremonies.
The Wedding Hall: entering through the romantic Loggia di Lionello with its vaulted arches and elegant stairs, you will reach the magnificent Wedding Hall which is sure to leave you and your guests without words. Elaborate stained glass windows stream in a delicate light while ornate columns and intricate marble carvings are everywhere. Dominating the wedding hall is a superb Venetian chandelier. The majestic Palace also houses a museum with works by Caravaggio and Tiepolo. In fact Udine houses the largest collection outside of Venice of this great Venetian artist.
Hall of the People's: The Palazzo D'Aronco also holds the Hall of the People's, another magnificent location for larger groups, designed in white marble with arches and columns and coats of arms. The entrance to this hall is via an imposing staircase in white marble. One could say that the effect of the white marble throughout is quite reminiscent of weddings!
The Udine Castle
Just a stone's throw from the Palazzo D'Aronco is the Castle of Udine. Rising up on a hill, dominating Udine it houses the Parliament Hall. This may very well be one of the 3 top wedding halls in Italy, both outside and inside. The panoramic position enjoys views over the entire region and mountains, while the walk leading up to the Palace itself is enchanting with loggias, gardens, ancient trees and delicate architecture. The frescoed interiors and ceilings are one of a kind with gilding and elaborate carvings. The size is best for larger wedding parties.
There is also a fourth charming wedding hall for small groups which is free of charge. It is decorated with frescoes and Friulian antiques and is perfect for smaller groups. It is housed in an ancient palazzo.
Regardless of which hall you choose to marry in, your wedding photos will be taken in the various historic rooms, the charming loggia of Lionello and of course include the outstanding views from the panoramic garden.
