Indian Wedding in Tuscany, Il Borro - Jasheen and Neil

An event to remember! 200 guests flew in from all over the world to celebrate a spectacular 3 day Tuscany wedding event at the exclusive resort of Il Borro.
Jasheen and Neil had fallen in love with IL BORRO during past visits to Tuscany and chose it as the setting for their wedding in Italy. Il Borro is one of the most unique luxury resorts in Tuscany with its own hamlet and authentic miniature medieval village. Tree lined driveways, dimmed lights, hidden historical landmarks and breathtaking settings submersed in the scent of the Tuscan cuisine-all this and more is the Borro! A wedding at Il Borro is not easily forgotten. A member of the luxury Relais et Chateaux chain, it is a world apart from any hotel you could imagine.
In its superb 700 hectare estate, time stands still. The magnificently restored property is an oasis of charm with its own medieval village, 19th century villa, farm and farm buildings. Wines and olive oil are produced using traditional methods – they are an integral part of the characteristic landscape of the area and create a peaceful and harmonious environment. Whether you are strolling through the narrow streets of the village, relaxing at the edge of one of the pools, enjoying the expert treatment at “La Corte” spa or the traditional cuisine at Osteria del Borro with its local ingredients, you will experience the unique charm of this Paradise!
Day one was to welcome all of the arriving guests who celebrated their arrival with a rustic Tuscan dinner complete with wood oven baked pizza, wonderful buffets of seasonal delights and local wine to give everyone a chance to relax and rest for the following days.
The real celebrations began on August 30th, the day of Jasheen and Neil's Indian wedding in Tuscany! The following day a traditional, white wedding took place in formal European tradition.
Preparations began early with a henna ritual for Jasheen, followed by hair and makeup treatments. Jasheen as you will see from the photos was a strikingly beautiful bride! Her Indian wedding dress an absolute showstopper.
The day continued with pre-wedding festivities with music and dancing. The groom arriving on a white horse....
The Hindu wedding ceremony was held under a majestic mandap (canopy), specially made for the occasion and decorated with flowers.
The event was captured by 3 great Italian wedding photographers: Alessandro Ghedina, Roberto Panciatici and Mauro Pozzer.
