Lake Como Wedding - Elisha and Simon
'Quel ramo del lago di Como' (that branch of lake Como): these words open the first chapter of 'The Betrothed' a classic novel about two people deeply in love, and who could be more so than Elisha and Simon on their gorgeous Lake Como wedding day - favoloso!
Flowering gardens united them in marriage lakeside in Italy's lake district with close family and friends attending their Italian Lake reception venue where a delicious Italian wedding meal was topped off by a dessert buffet, dancing, and a delicate Italian wedding cake. Shades of pink, fuchsia, and white trimmed with silver colored their wedding through and through. Lake Como backdrops in their Italian wedding photos were so versatile it almost seemed like they were dreaming...
Well, Elisha wasn't dreaming as she relished in a captivating Lake Como Relais before the wedding day. An infinity pool on the shores of the most famous lake in Europe where a wine bar and restaurant are carved out of rock and a lush spa to spend time with her girls for regrouping, revitalizing, and sipping Italian champagne welcomed them all in warm jacuzzi waters. A girlie-girl moment in preparation for the big moment ...
When Elisha envisioned herself in a Zac Posen mermaid bridal gown and Vera Wang design veil strolling through Italian gardens, her backdrop could be no other than Villa Carlotta, a 17th century villa and museum on the banks of Lake Como. Elisha and Simon's signature Lake Como wedding day began on the Villa's Camellia terrace in the midst of 150 different species of roses and massive botanical gardens, then as husband and wife after their legal 'I do' they sped off on a speedboat to their lakeside relais to meet guests for a festive Italian wedding party. Magnificent shades of pink crowned every single reception table with a variety of fresh blooms that looked like they were taken right out of the Villa's gardens.
