When people hear “Portofino” the image of the glamorous 1960’s comes to mind: of luxury yachts moored in the harbor, pastel coloured houses, designer boutiques and seafood restaurants overlooking the cobbled stoned piazza.

The splendid Castello Brown is a 16th century fortress which dominates the village and harbor and is also available for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Portofino is the perfect setting for a chic wedding in the Italian Riviera. Aimee and Raymond from the start knew they wanted their Italian destination wedding to be in Portofino. We met with this delightful couple and visited various venues but after viewing the amazing Belmond Splendido, they looked no further! This legendary, luxury hotel built on the cliffs of the Portofino Bay is one of the most panoramic wedding venues in the Italian Riviera. The views over the turquoise waters are magical, and the hotel’s service is one of a kind.
The ceremony was held on the magnificent terrace overlooking the bay, the reception in the glass enclosed verandah. Aimee and Raymond chose a palette of ivory throughout the event – the florals were gorgeous – a mixture of peonies, orchids and roses! Our design team put together some unique touches.
