Aparna and Nicholas' Masseria Don Luigi Wedding in Apulia

Aparna and Nicholas Picturesque Apulian Wedding

Wedding at Masseria Don Luigi

Known for its whitewashed villages, miles of Mediterranean coastline, and historic farmland, the heel of the Italian boot, the Apulia (or Puglia) region is one of the those mystic places that you see on Pinterest boards and bucket lists and wonder “where in the world is this Mediterranean paradise?”

Unlike other Italian regions, Apulia has ranch style farms minutes away from sandy beaches on the Adriatic Sea. These ranches are known as Masserias, and boast restored authentic luxury with vast green property.

Aparna and Nicholas chose this gorgeous southern region for their multi-day celebration.Specifically the Masseria Don Luigi, one of our favorite Masseria's in Puglia.

They welcomed all their guests the first night with an aperitivo on the beach at the exclusive beach club Lido. Everyone’s excitement grew as they relaxed under breezy white cabanas as the sun set on the glowy late summer’s horizon.

The first night finished off with a casual seated dinner at the Lido’s restaurant, welcome introductions and lots of gelato and dancing.

The next morning, the wedding day, Aparna and her bridal party got ready in one of Masseria Don Luigi‘s luxurious suites.

Aparna’s style fit perfectly into the chic southern Italian atmosphere, with a flowing lace gown embroidered with colorful floral designs, and her natural yet elegant makeup and hair, adorned with white flower accents.

Her bouquet was made of a lush mix of colored and neutral ‘just picked’ flowers.

The outdoor ceremony was held in the masseria’s garden. The décor was a bit bohemian, classic and chic. The altar was made up of a lavish Persian carpet, dreamy wisteria and suspended overhead fairy lights.

While Aparna and Nicholas said their vows, the tranquil sounds of the Apulian countryside were heard in the background. This natural beauty was so dream-like, almost as if it was planned.

After the ceremony, guests moved to the garden around the pool where lots of Aperol Spritz and sparkling wine was being served alongside some of the finest Apulian finger foods.

After Aparna and Nicholas had a romantic photoshoot around the masseria’s gardens with the intense sunny September sky in the background, the reception dinner was served in the olive groves on imperial style tables.

The tablescapes were rustic, southern Italian chic, complete with restored wood tables, green glassware and antique silver accents.
