The current villa is built on ancient foundations dating back to Roman times when the Emperor Augustus came to the region in exile. Its current design was created in 1750 for the Earls Mastrobuono. Royalty and famous names have stayed here from Eugenia, Empress of France to William Waldorf Astor.

The hotel's terraces are perfect for an elegant wedding reception in Sorrento. The Villa Pompeiana terrace is designed around a colonnade and is a perfect example of Pompeian style. It enjoys magnificent views over the blue waters of the Coast of Sorrento. We think it is one of the finest wedding reception locations along the Amalfi Coast. Wedding menus include 5 appetizers, a pasta course, a main course, fruit and wedding cake. An aperitif hour precedes the seated reception when red and white wine and Prosecco are served. Menu printing and flower decorations are also included.

Your Sorrento wedding ceremony can be celebrated in one of two civil wedding locations: The St. Francis Cloisters and the Villa Fondi park. Catholic weddings are not possible in Sorrento but could be celebrated in Positano. We can have a Protestant pastor celebrate a religious ceremony with civil validity either on the terrace or the gardens.

This contemporary, luxury villa, under 30 minutes from Sorrento, is a superb choice for an elegant Amalfi Coast wedding event. Should the weather turn inclement, your Sorrento civil ceremony will be moved indoors in an elegant hall with frescoes.
