Luxury Florence wedding at Villa Corsini Mezzomonte

Two-day wedding in Florence
Our young New York couple Angela and Neville fell in love with the idea of a Florence wedding once they saw the gorgeous Villa Corsini Mezzomonte, one of Tuscany’s most spectacular venues.
Their wedding unfolded over two days in different venues and took place in October during a magnificent Autumn backdrop and near summer temperatures allowing guests to celebrate both events outside.
The bride and groom chose the historical St. Regis for their stay in Florence and Angela’s first pics were shot in the marvelous suite.
The bride donned elegant V-neck sleeveless A-line wedding dress with floral appliques and Neville wore elegant black tuxedo with a bow tie. They truly looked stunning together!
All the special moments during these two days have been captured by the master of elegant wedding photography Gianni di Natale.
The first day was dedicated to a traditional Zoroastrian wedding ceremony on a rooftop overlooking the entire panorama of Florence. Guests were awed by the views at sunset.
The groom’s apparel complemented the divine looks of the bride. Neville was dressed in traditional white overcoat and Fetah, which is the long black traditional Parsi hat. Our beautiful bride, Angela wore an embroidered burgundy sari with intricate silver/white embroidery.
After blessings with flowers and prayers, offerings and an actual tying of the knot, the couple was pronounced officially husband and wife and a wonderful party and dinner ensued. The atmosphere was truly magical!
The ceremony was followed by dinner, cocktails & wine selection accompanied by the moonlight and live jazz band trio. Every corner of the terrace offered superb views over Florence, Giotto’s Campanile and Brunelleschi’s Dome, to the surrounding hills.
The second day of the wedding celebrations continued in unique Villa Corsini Mezzomonte. - one of the last residences of the most famous Florentine family, the Medici.
Villa Corsini offers some of the most superb Italian and English gardens in Florence and has multiple grand interior halls giving Angela & Neville’s guests the chance to wander around and soak in the authentic Italian wedding feel.
The western ceremony took place in a gorgeous southern Italian style garden of Villa Corsini – the perfect set-up to enjoy the Tuscan scenery overlooking endless rolling hills.
Angela and Neville shared their vows under an arch designed with white dried inflorescences, autumnal fresh old-pink hydrangeas, eucalyptus and white scabiosa - creating a scenic window looking out into the Florentine hills.
After the ceremony, the aperitif was served on the grounds in front of the Villa. The guests savored tempura vegetables, various finger food such as seabass carpaccio, artichokes pie with truffle sauce and sipped various signature cocktails like Aperol spritz, Mimosa & Negroni.
The traditional Tuscany wedding reception was served on the main lawn of Villa Corsini.
Every single touch of décor was custom designed for our couple. The color scheme of the day was composed of ivory, dusty pink, autumnal orange, green and gold that complimented the overall October wedding date.
Our florist used golden vases with giant blush dahlias, berries, and other small dahlias and eucalyptus to decorate the tables. The centerpieces were breathtaking accompanied by Florentine gold underplates.
The crystal chandeliers hanging above the dinner tables and starry night lights created a magical and enchanting atmosphere. Truly a night under the stars!
The architectural masterpiece of Villa Corsini - Grand Galleria, was transformed by our designers into a cool lounge area for all the guests to relax and enjoy the after-dinner cocktail selection and dessert buffet.
The party lasted until morning hours with everyone dancing the night away accompanied by the tunes of a 10-piece AMAZING live band! The party continued inside in one of the splendid halls of Villa Corsini.
The Millefoglie wedding cake is always a highlight of an Italian style wedding and the local chefs made this delicious cake live, in front of everyone. This took the wedding cake cutting to a whole different level and left Angela & Neville’s guests truly enchanted.
The two-day Florence wedding celebration gave Angela and Neville the chance to get the most of both worlds; the historic charming feel of the Renaissance city and the enchanting feel of the Tuscan countryside.
It was definitely a successful combination for a perfect two-day wedding in Florence.
