The tiny isle of Capri is as close to the perfect romantic paradise as any location we know of. Once the playground of Roman emperors such as Tiberius, it is now Italy’s most glamorous island resort. A 40 minute hydrofoil ride from the Amalfi Coast will allow you to experience a charm like no other. Capri is a mixture of whitewashed houses, Moorish architecture, narrow medieval pathways, and panoramic views from rugged cliffs to the surrounding sea. The views of the bays of Naples and Salerno from Monte Solare, the islands highest point, are astonishing. Don’t miss a visit to the terraces of the Gardens of Augustus, a public garden with lovely views.
The air of Capri is heavily perfumed with flowers; everything is blooming and brightly colored. You will want to explore the tiny squares, Capri Town, which is 450 meters above the harbor, and the even higher Anacapri located at the very highest point. It is reached via a steep winding road. Anacapri is our favorite place on the Island; private and removed from the hustle and bustle and a delight to experience on honeymoon or for your wedding in Capri. Several luxury palace and villa hotels are located here and would be ideal for a Protestant or symbolic Capri wedding.
Wedding ceremonies in Capri can be civil, protestant and symbolic. Catholic weddings are performed only for locals or Italian citizens. Protestant and symbolic weddings are possible outdoors, enjoying the amazing panoramic views, and in gardens and parks of luxury villa hotels.
For your Capri wedding reception our wedding planners can arrange for an unforgettable celebration that will include the famous local white wine, a real delicacy, and the outstanding cuisine of the island in many one of a kind places.
You should seriously consider getting married in Capri, if you wish to celebrate a destination wedding in one of Italy’s dreamiest locations!
