Catholic Weddings in San Gimignano

Catholic Weddings in San Gimignano

If you are planning a Catholic wedding in Tuscany, Church of Sant'Agostino (Saint Augustine) is San Gimignano's second largest Catholic church.  The imposing structure is built on one of the major squares of San Gimignano.  Originally constructed in 1280 in Gothic and Romanesque style, its interiors are enriched by frescoes painted by some of the greatest artists of the Renaissance.  A seventeen panel fresco depicting the Life of St. Augustine was painted by Benozzo Gozzoli while the altarpiece was painted by Piero del Pollaiuolo.

The church in San Gimignano has a wonderful soft light that filters in from the windows. We think this would be a magnificent setting for Catholic wedding in Tuscany!
