The Accommodations in the villa, are located on two floors. The Ground Floor, boasts marble fireplace, frescoed ceilings, chandeliers and wonderfully spacious living/dining area giving you a taste of what's in store. The lakeside terrace is easily accessed from many parts of this room.

The First Floor is easily reached by the elevator or the stairway.. Here you will find seven bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. You can choose you room depending on whether you prefer one of the three twin bedded or one of the four queen bedded rooms, and of course you have a choice too with the bathrooms: Bathtub or shower.

A fabulous location for your  Lake Como wedding reception and honeymoon!

This superb Art Nouveau gem is one of the oldest and loveliest five star luxury hotels on Lake Como.  From its unique lakeside position it offers unparalleled views of Bellagio and the stunning Grigne mountains.  Originally built in the early 1900's, a time when travelling was an art, it quickly became the favourite hotel of elite European visitors.

History of Villa Balbianello

The villa is situated in the town of Lenno and was was built in 1787 on the very tip of a peninsula by a cardinal. It was further improved by Giuseppe Visconti who created the romantic loggia and gardens of today and later purchased and restored in the early 20th century by an American military officer, Butler Ames. It is now managed by the National Trust of Italy.  Villa Balbianello has been featured in the James Bond movie Casino Royale and also the Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. The interior of the villa houses a museum of rich artifacts collected by the explorer Guido Monzino who led the first Italian expedition to climb Mount Everest.  He was the last owner of Villa Balbianello and gifted the villa to the National Trust of Italy.

Your Lake Maggiore wedding reception can be held outdoors under a grand pavilion which is set in the center of the gardens and is a graceful wrought iron structure in the style of the imposing greenhouses of the late 19th century. The pavilion holds from 50 to 400 guests. The Villa & Palazzo overlooks the enchanting Borromeo Gulf, with stupendous gardens and terraces - perfect for a wedding reception and aperitifs.  Inside the villa's natural park, you can enjoy romantic walks surrounded by majestic trees, gorgeous flowering azaleas and rhododendrons which create a riot of intense colors.  The interiors, completely renovated in 2000 by the owners, drip with sumptuousness. The rooms are regal, no expense has been spared for guests' comfort with lavish bathrooms.  But the piece de resistance of this property is without a doubt the SPA. In our travels we get to see quite a few luxury spas but we think this is the ULTIMATE SPA; "the" place for a bride and wedding party to be pampered before their big day!  The design and golden mosaics are one of a kind.

Rising in the heart of a tiny town on the edge of Lake Maggiore is this stunning Abbey attached to a beautiful complex; ideal for both wedding ceremonies and receptions in the most romantic surroundings.
